Sharp Index Scholarship Program
Sharp Index invests in students and emerging leaders who are helping build a healthier future for healthcare. Through our scholarship program, we provide direct financial and professional support to students whose education, research, lived experience, or career goals align with our mission to improve healthcare workforce mental health, reduce burnout and suicide, and make healthcare a healthier place to work.
Sharp Index Scholarship
The Sharp Index Scholarship provides educational support to undergraduate, graduate, professional, and medical students whose studies, research, advocacy, or future careers have the potential to improve healthcare workforce mental health and well-being.
Students may be pursuing work related to clinician mental health, burnout, suicide prevention, workforce well-being, medical education, healthcare culture, or other areas that contribute to healthier healthcare environments.
Sharp Index Health Equity Scholarship
The Sharp Index Health Equity Scholarship provides additional support for students from historically underrepresented or underserved populations and identities who are pursuing education, research, or careers that can contribute to a healthier and more equitable healthcare system.
The scholarship recognizes the connection between health equity and the health of the healthcare workforce and supports students whose research, experiences, advocacy, or future work can help improve representation, belonging, opportunity, mental health, and equity in medicine and healthcare.
Important Dates
October 1, 2026 — Applications open
November 30, 2026 — Applications close
December 2026–January 2027 — Application review and judging
January 18–22, 2027 — Board review and selection
January 25, 2027 — Scholars notified
February 2027 — Awards distributed and scholars announced
