Through the Sharp Index Scholarship and Sharp Index Health Equity Scholarship, we provide direct financial support and professional opportunities to students whose ideas, education, research, and future careers can contribute to healthier healthcare.

Fund a Health Equity Scholar
A $5,000 contribution can fund one student's direct Sharp Index Health Equity Scholarship award.
Health Equity Scholars also have access to mentorship and professional support and contribute an article, research summary, or educational video to help advance conversations about healthcare mental health and health equity.

Applications open for both Sharp Index scholarship opportunities. Partners and supporters can help us reach eligible students by sharing the opportunities with universities, medical schools, professional associations, and community networks.
October–November 2026 — Applications & Scholarship Support
Sharp Index continues recruiting donors, partners, mentors, and scholarship supporters while students apply.
November 13, 2026 — Applications Close
November 16–December 4, 2026 — Scholarship Review
December 7–11, 2026 — Board Selection
December 14, 2026 — Scholars Notified
January 2027 — Awards & Scholar Introductions
January–June 2027 — Scholar Mentorship & Professional Support
Partners and mentors may support scholars through professional guidance, expertise, connections, and educational opportunities.
June 30, 2027 — Health Equity Scholar Knowledge-Sharing Target
July–September 2027 — Impact & Next Cycle
Sharp Index recognizes scholars and supporters, evaluates program impact, and prepares for the next scholarship cycle.
The next annual application cycle is anticipated to begin October 1, 2027.
