FAQs

  • We are looking forward to the Health Equity Scholarship and providing funding, coaching, and support for students who would not otherwise have the opportunity to become physicians. During the application process, nominees are invited to be interviewed by judges in groups or individually. Your expertise in education, equity, medicine, and research is necessary to help students succeed.

  • Phase 2 of applications: September 2023

Our committee will meet during the first week of October 2023.

  • Judges are not expected to donate to the Scholarship fund. They are not part of Sharp Index and are agreeing to act in the best interests of Health Equity by donating their expertise and time. They agree to keep application and personal information regarding potential awardees confidential. No travel is involved in participating as a judge.

  • We would like to publicly share who our judges are. Please share an acceptable photo for sharing and your personal opinion about Health Equity for our website (that could be funding, or experience, or what matters most- not to exceed 350 words). If you would like to remain anonymous, please let us know.

Follow the link above to enter your contact information. (Include your best email and judges statement). If you would like to get involved, please let us know! We are looking for more experts in health equity.

Do you know about other scholarship opportunities that we should include on our website?

Please use the Judge Information form to send us details.

In order to improve health equity and health outcomes, we have to empower more people to become physicians and leaders.
