Ending Clinician Burnout (ECB) takes dedication and a commitment to addressing systems-level problems with a collaborative approach to repair the systemic factors driving burnout, such as work overload, unrealistic goals and poor work design, rather than focusing solely on the individual or the workforce. This work involves organizations addressing major chronic problems in the healthcare industry, redesigning workflows, implementing sustainable solutions, leadership advocating for systemic changes in the external ecosystem, and fostering a culture of support to empower clinicians to improve their well-being. Collective efforts, policy change, research, and the implementation of evidence-based strategies are essential to create a sustainable healthcare system where all healthcare workers can thrive.

We are proud to partner with Sharp Index again this year for the summit. Sharp Index is a nonprofit dedicated to reducing physician burnout and suicide and improving physician, nurse, and clinician mental health. Janae Sharp brings expertise in technology, healthcare advocacy, and leadership further our event mission that we are “Stronger Together.” Founded in 2018, the Sharp Index is a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to making healthcare the healthiest place to work.

Dr. Jonathan Fisher and Kelcey Trefethen founded Ending Clinician Burnout Global Community (ECB) in 2020. We help healthcare providers and leaders (clinical and nonclinical) around the world prevent and reverse burnout and experience more joy and meaning in the practice of medicine. Our efforts -- based on the core principles of optimal human health, well-being, and performance -- benefit all aspects of patient care and public health. We nurture and grow a multi-disciplinary community of collaborators working towards a single purpose.

We collect, engage in, and share research into individual and organizational best practices. We create beacons of hope, including online and live spaces, workshops, and events for sharing real world stories, educational resources, and practical strategies for implementing change. We partner with wise and compassionate individuals and organizations who provide support and resources that are helping heal the heart of healthcare.

This year, we have over 60 top experts from academia to industry leaders who will be talking at the summit.

Here is our agenda:

Did you know October 10th is World Mental Health Day?  This is a very important day to remind us that our minds are as vital as our bodies and one of the same. World Mental Health Day serves as a powerful reminder that there is no health without mental health. Our Wealth is Truly in our Health.

Are you ready to join the Movement and Conversations to end clinical burnout?

This is an event and experience for all healthcare professionals because we are Stronger Together.
