The stigma against mental health care is still strong in healthcare workers. These leaders help reduce stigma and encourage access to a healthy health care workforce. They are experts in psychiatry and mental health. They share their personal stories to assist others in mental health and physician advocacy.
This category celebrates those who have used their voice, influence, and actions to raise awareness, influence policy, and drive change that supports the mental health of healthcare providers, including physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals.
Eligible nominees for this award include advocates from all walks of life and professional backgrounds—whether they are healthcare professionals themselves, patients, policy makers, or members of non-profit organizations—who have made significant contributions to improving the mental health landscape in healthcare settings. Their efforts may include legislative advocacy, public awareness campaigns, community outreach programs, and the development of resources and support networks for healthcare providers struggling with mental health challenges.
Preference is given to individual winners for this category.
