Patient Committee

Patient leaders developing the relationship between physician and healthcare worker wellbeing and patient interests. We need to understand how healthcare worker mental health impacts patients, and why this should be something the general public has interest in. This committee is all about CONNECTEDNESS.

  1. Empowering Education and Awareness: Develop guidance to empower patients with the knowledge of how healthcare worker mental health directly influences the quality and safety of the care they receive.

  2. Storytelling: Share compelling patient stories and testimonials that illustrate the profound impact of healthcare worker mental health on patient experiences, recovery, and overall satisfaction.

  3. Research Dissemination: Stay at the forefront of the latest research and evidence, effectively disseminating information to patients, healthcare professionals, and the public about the link between healthcare worker mental health and optimal patient outcomes.

  4. Collaboration: Foster dialogue and engagement with healthcare professionals, including physicians and other healthcare workers, to foster mutual understanding and jointly champion patient interest in healthcare worker mental health.

  5. Raise patient interest and involvement in supporting healthcare worker mental health through gratitude campaigns and events with purpose.

  6. Plan and carry out a yearly #Turnout4burnout fundraiser for patients giving back to healthcare workers.

  7. Advocacy for Policy Change: Advocate fearlessly for policies that prioritize healthcare worker mental health within healthcare systems, safeguarding patient interests and enabling healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care.
